foliom

A Word manuscript, formatted for the journal you are submitting to.

foliom reads your .docx, recovers its structure, renders it into the publisher's own LaTeX class and compiles a PDF. Then it runs the checks an editorial office runs: abstract length, figure resolution, uncited references, the declarations your target requires.

1 The manuscript

Up to 25 MB. The file is converted and stored for you to download; nothing is published anywhere.

2 The target

Twelve publisher templates. Pick the one named in the call for papers or the journal's author guide.

3 What the class needs

  • IEEE conference papers are usually limited to 6-8 pages including references.
  • Figures must be legible at 100% and in greyscale; IEEE prints many proceedings in black and white.

What the pre-flight report tells you

The PDF is the easy half. These are the findings that decide whether a submission is returned before anyone reads it, and every one of them is computed from your own document.
